Grievance Process

The Complaint/Grievance process often involves multiple steps.  The goal of any school and/or school district is to handle complaints at the lowest level.  If, however, you’ve followed the chain of command and your concern/complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you should definitely follow the complaint/grievance process.  Do not be afraid to use the system; it is in place to allow due process, and to ensure parent and student rights are protected.

In Argyle ISD, the process involves 3 steps.

1- Initial complaint to the site pricipal/administrator

2- Appeal to the superintendent

3- Appeal to the school board of trustees
